Vonehrlich Kennels were started by Helen & I in 1974 to breed quality animals for Show and Obedience and this is still our objective. In pursuing this passion we have imported dogs from Germany, including Vasall vom Kirschental, who is one of the best bred dogs to come to Australia and his bloodlines are found behind many current prominent GSD’s. Most of our current breeding animals are related to this sire.

Over the years we have produced many excellent graded dogs including a National bronze medal winner – Vonehrlich Pasha and a National Reserve Challenge winner – Vonehrlich Elke.

Our interests are both in the Show and Obedience rings and Vasall was trialled to CDX and excellent medallion standard.

Our dogs have had hip and elbow X-rays, been tattooed by the German Shepherd Dog Club and registered with the Canine Control Council.

We have been members of the German Shepherd Dog Club of Queensland for over thirty years and during this time I was President for a number of years and am a Life Member.

We value our many repeat clients and  welcome contact from lovers of this magnificent breed.
